John Lewellan joined Apptio as the VP, Marketing Operations in 2019 where he built out a world class operations function. In the role, he oversees Automation, Database, Technology, Analytics, Project Management, Field Operations, Web Operations, Creative, Budget Management, Annual Planning, Creative and the Marketing Centers of Excellence. IBM acquired Apptio in 2023 and John is leading the integration effort while preserving key processes and technologies that have made them successful.
Prior to joining Apptio, John served as the Director of Marketing Operations at Informatica, created marketing operations functions from scratch in two separate divisions of RELX, and spent the first half of his career generating demand in marketing and advertising roles.
John graduated from Augustana College with degrees in Psychology and Business Administration (Marketing) and received his MBA from Olin School of Business at Washington University.
